OBS IS OVER!
hello! i'm back from obs! super super super tired!
i have LOTS of insect bites and sun burns
i lost one side of my earring and my nike shoe ;(
let me tell you the torturous 5 days i went through
but it's kinda fun:D
DAY 1
woke up at 5, bathed, ate breakfast, changed
waited for carmen and her dad
then he fetched us to school:Dd THANKS!
reached school, then mr lim seow chong saw us then opened the door for us
haha so funny, walked to locker with super fat bags!
reached there, hang around and then went to classroom
super super noisy. didnt bring thermometer so me and june went to buy
yeah. we went down to sit outside one classroom after we know our groupings,
cliff opened his bag and i took out his underwear. i gave it to carmen
she laughed and laughed and laughed
we tossed it around.
boarded the bus and then me and carmen talked
then we went into singapore's longest tunnel
joy super funny she said "how come this tunnel so long ah? i want to see the sky"
haha. once we reached there, we had to go into our groups
had many people, our instructor is faisal. but he ask us to call him "fa-is"
we did some introducing and then we walked to the jetty
took the boat and and.. long long story. haha
then did trust fall or something then belaying
after that, we pitched tent, took a bathe, cooked dinner and sleep
DAY 2
woke up brushed teeth, unpitched tent, eat breakfast
did some stuffs and then changed into long pants and wet attire
we went for kayaking:D then i think we did high elements
forgot which one we did but anyway, thats what we did for the second day
bathed after that and then... ahhh. i think we did some other stuffs. ahaha
DAY 3
woke up super early cause we had to unpitch our tents and get ready for SEA EX.
super tired, pack our bags and snack on abit of breakfast.
brought our bags to the jetty,
carried the kayak had MANY MANY MANY briefings
and we're OFF!
kayaked with samuel poh, super tiring!
had a break cause tenzing and raleigh need to do capsizing
exchanged place with nat boey so then zhi tao kayaked with me
haha. continued our journey after a while. arms were aching like mad!
after kayaking, went to change! EWW!
slept.. it rained in the middle of the night
my sleeping bag was wet!!
DAY 4
woke up, shivered felt super sick!
unpitched tent, the fais was kinda upset with us
so we ran! did super alot of jumping jacks
ran back and then pick up our back and set off
we had to do unpacking on our way so we stopped.
fais led us and then we stopped to build raft
got all our materials, being briefed on how to tie knots
then we were left on our own to do work
the instructors had to do tests on our raft but none of us passed
but they let us have a dip in the quarry! its super cooling and refreshing!!
haha. after that, we had to pack up, refill water bottles snack abit
and fais taught us how to read maps
went off and trek trek trek
wow super tiring lorh!
we stopped so that the navigator can check the map then one group
went to the way where we thought it was wrong, cause that's the dead end
raffles came along and then we said "ehhh, guys later we going right right?"
haha we tricked them. after they left we went to the left.
saw many wild boar tracks
we then saw the sea
fais said "okay nila utama, first i want to congratulate you for your courage
to walk this far, but turn to your right, that's camp 2's jetty"
everyone started screaming cause we took the wrong turn!! we had to walk back!
AHAHH! in the end, we were the one who went to the dead end!
trek back and reached camp site.
bathed after pitching tent, ate super nice dinner ahahah
THE BEST DINNER(uhh in all the days)
then slept ohh and the best sleep during the camp! no rain! YAY!
DAY 5
yay last day! woke up super duper early, unpitched tents,
pack our store and had to do many things.
still had to wash the mass tins and pots cause got burnt marks. hahaa.
had to use some sand blah blah
super annoyed cause i had lots of mosquito bites!
after that, we pack up went to the kayak there
sat down ahmad read us a poem
"i want to go home"
ahah quite funny, had to change to shoes
that's when i realised i lost my shoes
super super worried, joe lent me his shoes
haha THANK YOU;D
chillax abit in the boat, slept awhile
woke up and walked back to OBS registration there
bought milo, ALOT of people buy shirt
but then i out of cash so cannot haha
yeah. then boarded the bus around 3
sat with carmen talked alot
ming hui lent me her phone
THANK YOU!;D
called mom, super happy to hear her voice
then talk, teacher say mas selemat got caught
everyone jeered
hahah then he say fairfield burnt down?
haha everyone CHEER
LOL big time
reached school, went to locker
took out phone, had 8 messages, 3 missed calls from dad, 2 missed calls from mom
hahaha. met esther then walked out with her
daddy came after few minutes
fetch esther home
after that went home, saw mom cried
cause i lost my earring and shoes
she say never mind:D hhaha
took shower, ate dinner (super nice:DD)
slept at 6 ahaha. woke up at 7.23 am! haahah
slept super long
REFLECTION
i think obs is fun
i might go for it, but it must meet a few criteria:DD
NO MOSQUITO BITES
MUST HAVE BETTER FOOD
STAY IN CAMPUS 1
and more but i cant think of more
hahah. yeah. i learnt to appreciate things more
cause when you sleep at night, you wont get wet cause there's a roof over you
when you eat, it's always full of nutrition
and many more;DD
